**The Role**:_ _Xylem seeks to hire an Accounting Supervisor ITALY

The supervisor will coordinate a team of 4 senior people.
Will be responsible for the management and development of the local Accounting team dedicated to Tax & SR. Overall responsibilities include a number of activities mainly related to statutory requirements and balance, taxation, VAT and general support to the business on fiscal rules.
**Essential Duties**:
Managing local accounting team Tax and SR Serving as business partner to support on issues about fiscal rules on AP cycle, including import and export. Ensuring accounting is in line with Italian rules requirements Supervising accounting team activities related to Statutory balance Ensuring correctness of Statutory balance Providing to finance team guidance on issues related to VAT Supervising VAT reconciliations and declarations to tax authorities Ensuring all fiscal requirements are accomplished timely and accurately, including documents and forms preparation He/She is the reference person concerning fiscal rules and regulations changes and has to ensure adequate information to all relevant departments Updating administrative systems and procedures in adherence with policies Fostering a culture of controls and compliance with US and Local GAAP, Xylem and local legal rules and procedures, including Sarbanes-Oxley compliance (SOX). Supervising the activities of Accounting Team Tax and SR on monthly closing of the books and records, ensuring deadlines are met timely and accurately. ability to manage and support staff by facilitating the professional development an aptitude to motivate staff ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with internal customers persistence and assertiveness combined with tact and diplomacy natural aptitude for self-study and updating on matters like taxation, fiscal rules, etcexceptional qualities of confidentiality and loyalty





**Required Qualifications**:

- Deep knowledge of Italian fiscal rules
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar position
- 2 years Experience in people management
- Fluent English and Italian
- Economics study or similar background
