Road Design Engineer

Systematica is a leading company in the field of Transport Planning and Mobility Engineering, headquartered in Milan with offices in New York, Rome and Mumbai.

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Road Design Engineer.

Main Duties:

- Contribute to the design and development of urban and interurban road projects, from concept to detailed design stages.
- Support the integration of road design within multidisciplinary projects involving transport planning, urban design, and infrastructure engineering.
- Prepare and review technical drawings, geometric layouts, and cross sections using design software.
- Coordinate with other engineers, planners, and architects to ensure design consistency and quality.
- Participate in client meetings and presentations, providing clear technical input and design updates.
- Assist in preparing project reports, design documentation, and tender materials.





Primary Location: Milan, Italy

Education

University Degree in Transport Engineering or equivalent

Experience

1-2 years of professional experience in Road Design projects

Skills

Essential qualifications and experience:

- Strong knowledge of road design principles and standards (Italian and international).

- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D / Civil Desing for road geometry and road modeling.

- Ability to prepare and review technical drawings and documentation.

- Teamwork and communication skills in a multidisciplinary environment.

- Good knowledge of Italian and English (spoken and written).

Desirable Skills

- Experience with BIM for Infrastructure (Autodesk InfraWorks, Revit, or Navisworks).

- Experience with international projects or coordination with foreign teams.
