Electronic RF Hardware Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for an Electronic RF Hardware Engineer to join our growing team. You will be responsible for the design, simulation, development, and testing of RF systems and subsystems for space missions, including transponders, transmitters, receivers, and antennas operating across X, Ku, Ka, and Q/V bands.

You will actively follow the development from requirements definition to schematic design, prototyping, testing, and validation, working closely with systems, manufacturing, and mechanical teams.

You will contribute to missions for LEO, GEO, and Lunar exploration, designing hardware that meets demanding performance, reliability, and environmental requirements.

Main Responsibilities

- RF circuit design, including filters, amplifiers, mixers, and PLLs.
- Design and simulation of RF circuits and subsystems using CST, ADS, or Ansys HFSS.
- PCB design for RF systems (layout, impedance control, stack-up definition) using Altium Designer.
- Support integration of RF modules with system-level platforms.
- Interface with suppliers and manufacturing partners.
- Perform RF testing and validation using network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and other RF lab equipment.




- Contribute to environmental qualification processes (thermal-vacuum, vibration, radiation testing).

Required Skills

- Proficiency with RF simulation tools (e.g. CST Microwave Studio, ADS, Ansys HFSS, etc.).
- Proficiency with PCB CAE tools (e.g. Altium Designer, KiCAD, etc.).
- Comfortable with technical English (spoken and written).
- Must speak at least one of: Italian, Slovenian, or English.
- Must have EU citizenship.
- Problem-solving attitude, proactive and autonomous.

Preferred Skills

- 3+ years experience with RF system design.
- Knowledge of Space industry standards and practices.
- Ability to produce high-quality technical documentation (reports, manuals, test plans, etc.).
