APPLICATION PROCEDURE

Thank you for your interest in becoming a member of the IST team. To submit a spontaneous application, please fill in the application form below and submit the following documents:

- A cover letter
- A full CV/ résumé with a photograph
- A statement outlining your educational philosophy
- Details of professional referees from employment from your three previous schools.

Safeguarding

The International School of Turin is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

It is school policy to actively seek confidential references for all new employees including at least one from the previous three employers.

All new employees coming from outside Italy are required to provide a police background check from their current country of employment/residence and all previous countries worked.

Locally hired staff are required to provide a police background check with the local police authorities.

CODE OF ETHICS

As an accredited school, IST adheres to the CIS Code of Ethics. The purpose of the CIS Code of Ethics (Council of International Schools) is to describe the moral principles upon which CIS members are expected to base their conduct and professional practice.

Key Responsibilities

- Curriculum Delivery: Plan and deliver high-quality MYP Design lessons (Years 1–5) that align with IB standards and practices, including the E-porfolios.
- Inquiry-Based Teaching and Learning: Foster a classroom environment rooted in the IB Design Cycle: Inquiring & Analyzing, Developing Ideas, Creating the Solution, and Evaluating.
- Assessment: Implement rigorous formative and summative assessments according to MYP criteria.
- Robotics Integration: Lead the Robotics program, incorporating VEX, LEGO Mindstorms, Arduino, or similar platforms into the Design units.
- Integrate AI tools into the MYP Design cycle and curriculum
- Mentorship: Supervise Personal Projects and design and lead the school’s extracurricular STEM/Robotics clubs.

The ideal candidate has previous experience in the role, preferably in an international environment, a good knowledge of the MYP curriculum and standards, and a perfect knowledge of English, spoken and written.
