We’re looking for a Country Manager – Italy to lead and grow Playtomic’s operations, partnerships, and business performance in our home market. You’ll be responsible for driving commercial success, building strong relationships with our most strategic partners (clubs), and ensuring that our teams deliver an outstanding experience to both clubs and players.If you’re an entrepreneurial leader with a passion for racket sports, data-driven decision-making, and building high‑performing teams—this is your opportunity to shape the future of Playtomic in Italy.What you’ll be doingStrategic LeadershipOwn the P&L, growth, and performance of Playtomic in Italy, ensuring we achieve our business objectives.Develop and execute a country growth strategy aligned with Playtomic’s global vision and priorities.Identify new business opportunities and strategic partnerships across the sports ecosystem.Lead, mentor, and grow a team of Customer Success Managers and local specialists, fostering collaboration, accountability, and impact.Maintain and expand key relationships with major sports clubs, chains, and federations, ensuring their long‑term success on our platform.Drive partner satisfaction and retention by ensuring world‑class operational excellence and service delivery.Operational & Commercial ExcellenceMonitor business performance metrics (revenue growth, activation, retention, satisfaction)
and translate insights into actionable initiatives.Collaborate cross‑functionally with Product and Marketing teams to adapt Playtomic’s offerings to the Spanish market.Negotiate and close strategic agreements that contribute to Playtomic’s expansion and brand leadership.Market ExpertiseAct as the voice of the Italian market internally—sharing trends, user feedback, and competitive insights to inform global strategy.Represent Playtomic at events, conferences, and within the local sports community as the company’s ambassador.Who you’ll be playing withYou’ll work closely with regional and global leaders, leading a talented local team to drive growth and engagement across Italy (and other markets).Our Ideal "Player"Deep understanding of the Racket sports industry and/or experience working with clubs, venues, or federations.6+ years of experience in business operations, partnerships, or customer success, ideally within sports, tech or hospitality.Analytical mindset with the ability to turn data into strategy and measurable results.Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.Highly organized, strategic, and comfortable in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment.Native Italian speaker and fluent in English; other languages are a plus.Based in Milan or willing to relocate.Adaptability: Ability to adapt to complex situations and crises while maintaining relationships and driving Playtomic's objectives.Innovation: Proven ability to innovate and develop new strategies based on industry trends and business needs.Facilitation: Recognized facilitation skills to resolve conflicts and drive change across various areas of Playtomic.What’s in it for youSalary: Depending on experience, to be discussed in the first meeting.Opportunity to work in a top international team.23 days of vacation + day off on your birthday + 2 days off for Wellness days in August.1 additional day off per year worked.Gympass discounts in several plans that include gyms, personal classes, access to free apps for wellbeing, nutrition etc.#J-18808-Ljbffr
