Our client, a leading global automotive manufacturer headquartered in China, is seeking an experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead and scale its operations in Italy.
This is a strategic executive opportunity for a senior automotive professional with a strong track record in business development, dealer network expansion, commercial operations, and market growth within highly competitive environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and lead the Italian subsidiary from the ground up, establishing the local organization and operational structure.
- Define and execute the market strategy, including sales targets, product positioning, marketing initiatives, and budget planning.
- Develop and expand a high-performing dealer network across the Italian market.
- Lead market analysis, competitive positioning, and regional business negotiations.
- Oversee core business functions including sales, after-sales, product, brand, and dealer operations.




- Drive the successful launch of key vehicle models and take full ownership of commercial performance.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product and finance teams to support residual value strategies and sustainable market growth.

Requirements
- 10+ years of experience within the automotive industry.
- Strong operational and commercial management background.
- Deep understanding of the Italian automotive market, dealer networks, and distribution systems.
- Previous experience in a senior leadership role within a global automotive OEM.
- Financial management experience is considered a strong advantage.
- Strategic mindset with a hands-on leadership approach.
- Proven ability to build operations and teams from scratch in fast-paced environments.
- Fluent English and native-level Italian required.
