Experteer Overview

In this role you will contribute to NSMB and Nature Communications by evaluating and shaping high-impact research. You will work with cross-functional editorial teams to manage manuscript flow, oversee peer review, and make editorial decisions that advance open-access science. You will also help shape content strategy, commission reviews, and engage with scientists worldwide. This position offers collaboration across journals and opportunities to influence the direction of cutting-edge science.

Retribuzione / Benefits

- Handle original research manuscripts from submission through publication
- Oversee peer review and make editorial decisions with reference to referee input
- Contribute to content and strategy for NSMB and Nature Communications
- Commission and edit content such as Reviews; write editorials




- Liaise with editors across Nature Portfolio and with international scientists
- Attend conferences and visit research institutions
- Potentially rotate to other journals within Nature Portfolio based on portfolio needs

Responsabilità

- PhD (or equivalent) in relevant fields
- Broad understanding of current trends in the field
- Passion for science and demonstrated breadth of research interest
- Excellent written and spoken English; strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to assess novelty, context, and implications of submissions
- Willingness to travel and engage with scientists worldwide
- Editorial experience is not required but encouraged for Senior Editor consideration
