As Patient Safety Science Lead, you will steer safety science activities for assigned products, ensuring proactive, science-driven risk assessment. You’ll lead safety surveillance, collaborate cross-functionally, and integrate safety input into development plans and regulatory submissions. You will shape safety strategies, oversee risk management, and support external partnerships to advance patient safety and product quality. - Develop and implement a Safety Science strategy for assigned products and oversee safety surveillance and risk management activities

- Maintain access to comprehensive safety data to monitor emerging safety profiles cross-functionally

- Collaborate with Clinical Development, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Quality and other functions within Safety Science and Agevolazioni Risk teams

- Incorporate safety input into clinical development plans, protocols, study documents, and regulatory submissions

- Develop Health Hazard Assessments for quality/compliance events and align with GMP processes

- Contribute to safety surveillance plans, documentation, and logs; support due diligence and partnerships





- Engage with external providers and manage outsourced Safety Science activities to ensure data flow and deliverables

- Support safety communications for Health Authorities and external stakeholders; participate in inspections and regulatory interactions

- Contribute to innovations and best practices to strengthen lifecycle management and scientific credibility

- Engage with external stakeholders and academic groups to integrate emerging science into Safety Science for products

- Advanced degree in Life Science, Pharmacy, Medicine, or related field; PhD preferred

- 8+ years in patient safety; 6+ years in safety science within pharma or CRO; post-marketing and clinical development experience

- Proven leadership of global teams and complex safety portfolios across development stages

- Expertise in global pharmacovigilance regulations, governance, and cross-functional xlwpduy collaboration

- Experience with multiple product modalities and therapeutic areas

- Strategic, enterprise mindset with ability to translate safety science into decision-ready insights

- Strong judgment to lead through complexity and risk; ability to influence senior stakeholders

- Crisis leadership, issue escalation, and resolution capabilities

- Mentorship and development of diverse teams; excellent communication and collaboration skills

- Ability to work across organizational boundaries and manage data-driven decisions

- Strong planning, organizational, and analytical skills; detail- and results-oriented

- High ethical standards with a commitment to patient safety and quality
