APM Terminals Vado Gateway is looking for a Junior Facility Engineer to support the planning, maintenance, and continuous improvement of terminal facilities. Reporting directly to the Facility and Maintenance Manager, you will play an active role in engineering activities, facility maintenance coordination, project support, and stakeholder engagement.
This is an excellent opportunity for an early‑career engineer looking to build experience in a dynamic port and logistics environment while contributing to critical infrastructure operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize AutoCAD to support the planning and development of new facility projects.
- Assist the Facility team in coordinating maintenance activities across civil works, electrical carts, motors, and HVAC systems.
- Act as a point of contact between Operations, Public Administration, and external service providers to ensure compliance with procedures and policies.
- Review work order data and prepare performance and progress reports for the Facility Manager.
- Support the design and implementation of treatment systems and site work installations.
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
- Uphold APM Terminals' values, business principles, and safety standards in all activities.
What We Are Looking For
- Continuous improvement mindset:we are looking for someone who brings a thoughtful improvement mindset—curious about how work gets done and motivated to make meaningful, sustainable improvements over time.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
- Previous professional experience in an engineering, maintenance, or facilities-related environment.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and the ability to contribute to facility planning activities.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within cross‑functional teams.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and eagerness to learn new skills.
- Professional working proficiency in both Italian and English.
