Saipem Offshore Construction (SOC) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Saipem S.p.A. SOC brings together all operational activities in Italy related to fabrication, technical services, maintenance, and logistics, providing essential support for the execution of offshore construction and offshore wind projects.
Purpose of the position: As Automation Engineer you will be part of the Offshore construction business line. You will be involved in the development,
testing and commissioning of automation systems and automation monitoring solutions for Industry 4.0, applied to the Oil & Gas industry and in particular to pipelay activities.As Automation Engineer you will be part of the Pipelines Technologies Innovation department of Saipem.
How can you support us?
- Design, development and programming of PLC software and architectures, with a strong focus on Structured Text (ST) control logic, for the development of industrial automation applications
- Develop and test high-level Object-Oriented software (e.g. C++, C#, Python) to interface machines with data acquisition and supervisory systems, implement computer vision algorithms, develop Graphical User Interfaces (GUI) and user applications.
