You will take the lead on all the key aspects of AXA XL Italy underwriting operations in Energy and Construction business within the Country in accordance with the regional and divisional guidelines.
This includes but is not limited to portfolio profitability, account pricing, portfolio rate change, renewal retention, marketing, new business production, development of staff and broker and client management.

What will your essential responsibilities include?
- Manage directly underwritriting activity for an assigned portfolio
- Developing the portfolio whilst maximizing profitability by making decisions and recommendations to assist in the development and control of profitable underwriting and monitoring of performance of products and/or schemes and portfolios in accordance with AXA strategy and business plan
- Leading and developing a team of Underwriters. Supporting the team by providing technical training and coaching on a day to day and, as required, more formalized basis.
- Executing departmental strategy and achieve P&L; metrics.




- Support the business planning and forecasting process; monitor financial exposure and premium income to ensure it remains within set limits.
- Maintain awareness of all claims advised while supporting and providing input on settlement of claims.
- Seeking, identifying and developing opportunities for profitable business with new and existing customers.
- Developing relationships with stakeholders to ensure that business needs are achieved and enhance the visibility on the maket with brokers, clients, risk managers and account managers,
- Closely collaborate with Distribution Team by providing an effective and efficient service.
