This role helps drive strategic alignment, operational excellence, cross‑functional collaboration, and execution of key RD initiatives across the organization. /p pThe Senior Director acts as a trusted partner to the Vice President, ensuring continuity of leadership, follow‑up on priorities, and effective communication between RD teams, senior management, and other business functions. /p pThe Senior Director will translate strategic priorities into clear, measurable objectives and key results and operating metrics, and he/she drives consistent execution across Product development related RD functions. This role operates with the authority of the VP Central RD and works closely with internal Central RD functional leaders, MDRF General Manager leaders to align RD outcomes with MDRF company priorities, resolve trade‑offs, and ensure delivery against agreed results. /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 ul liStrategic Planning Execution /li liTranslate RD strategy and leadership priorities into actionable objectives and key results, achievements, and success metrics. /li liPartner with the Head of RD key technologist leaders to define and operationalise long‑term technology IPs roadmaps (e.g., nodes, architectures, …). /li liDrive execution of strategic initiatives across design, process, and product. /li liCollaborate within CRD Operation PMO group on tracking and report progress on critical RD milestones (e.g., tape‑outs, yield targets, PPA improvements). /li liMonitor progress against strategic objectives and highlight risks, gaps, and opportunities. /li liPrepare decision‑making materials for leadership reviews and governance forums. /li liCross‑Functional Alignment /li liAct as a central coordination point across RD,



product lines, and corporate functions. /li liEnsure tight coordination between central design teams and divisions (internal or external). /li liFacilitate decision‑making across MDRF CRD distributed teams. /li liDrive collaboration across technical, operational, and business stakeholders. /li liOperational Excellence /li liEstablish and run the operating cadence (quarterly planning, execution reviews, KPI tracking). /li liDefine and monitor RD performance indicators, including: /li ul liDevelopment cycle time /li liFirst‑pass success rate /li liCost efficiency /li /ul liImprove execution discipline and scalability through process optimisation and best practices. /li liStrengthen predictability and delivery reliability across the RD organization. /li liExecutive Communication Governance /li liDevelop clear, executive‑level narratives and reporting on RD performance and strategy. /li liPrepare board‑level updates, strategy reviews, and leadership materials. /li liEnsure alignment on priorities, trade‑offs, and decisions across senior leadership. /li liRun governance forums (staff meetings, roadmap reviews, execution reviews). /li liOrganisational Effectiveness /li liAct with continuous improvement approach in planning, delivery management and metric rigor. Help teams improve predictability and outcomes in a performance‑driven environment. /li liSupport organisational design and workforce planning (skills, hiring, outsourcing). /li liLead strategic initiatives such as RD site expansions, post‑merger integrations. /li liFoster a culture of innovation, accountability, and collaboration. /li liLeadership Support /li liAct as a delegate to the VP of RD when required. /li liSupport leadership communications, including town halls and strategic messaging. /li liHelp steer organisational change and business transformation initiatives. /li liOperate with a high degree of autonomy, trust, and confidentiality. /li /ul h3Education Experience /h3 ul liAdvanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in Electrical Engineering, Semiconductor Physics, or related field. /li li15+ years of experience in semiconductor RD, engineering leadership, or technology strategy. /li liProven experience in leading complex programmes or operations in a global, matrix organisation. /li liStrong understanding of the end‑to‑end semiconductor lifecycle:
