ph3Responsibilities /h3 ul liAssure adherence to relevant security standards /li liEnable the continued growth and development of the site (infrastructure and IT) /li liManage and operate world class infrastructure /li liReduce operational risk through pro‑active management of infrastructure and analysis of faults and weak signals /li liExhibit leadership and instil the company vision whilst executing relevant/necessary corporate strategies /li liManage day to day finances (opex/capex) for the data centre /li liContribute to OVH group continual improvement and groupwide discussions and initiatives /li /ul pThe Data Centre Manager takes the role of the unit lead for the data centre unit in which they work. /p pThe Data Centre Unit (DU) contains the following teams for which the DC Manager has ultimate day to day operational responsibility and for which they should have an awareness of work flows, processes and priorities. /p ul libLogistics /b – managing the flow of components and equipment to and from the site in a safe, secure, timely and efficient manner. /li libTeam Leading /b – managing and developing the local team /li libSite Security /b – managing the physical access and perimeter security of the site in accordance with various applicable security standards, such as PCI‑DSS and ISO27001. /li libInfrastructure management and maintenance /b – maintaining the power distribution and cooling equipment on site to assure service levels and reliability for customers /li libIT /b – managing the continual deployment of new network and server capacity on site to satisfy current and future customer needs whilst maintaining the existing estate of live servers and network equipment in accordance with service level agreements. Lifecycle processes associated with all IT equipment. /li libSite management /b – managing the office areas, green spaces and general facilities on a day to day basis to ensure they are functional and fit for purpose. Managing local HR queries and issues. Managing payment and ordering processes, side induction, audits, contractors and visitors. /li /ul h3Your future impact /h3 pIn 6 months: /p ul liBe self‑sufficient in running the Data Centre from a Day to Day perspective /li liManaging the Teams, supporting them, delegating tasks /li /ul pAnd in 1 year: /p ul liFull understanding of the OVH Product Set /li liFull understanding and responsibility of the KPI’s and OKRs that we are measured against /li /ul h3Skills required /h3 ul liKnowledge of power distribution and delivery architecture and equipment including transformers, generators, UPS and batteries /li liKnowledge of best practice preventative maintenance regimes for critical infrastructure /li liKnowledge and experience of IT cooling systems architecture and operations in supporting live IT loads /li liKnowledge of ISO27001, ISO9001, ISO50001 and PCI‑DSS standards /li liOpex/capex, profit/loss reporting and general financial planning and reporting.
