In this role you will support delivery of complex mechanical systems on a major data centre project in Milan, ensuring installations meet safety, schedule, and quality targets. You’ll collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate HVAC, piping, and fire protection systems within a mission‑critical environment. The position sits within a project delivery team for a leading European contractor expanding in Europe’s data centre sector.

You will contribute to safe site practices, robust documentation, and successful commissioning, shaping a high‑value, technically demanding build.

Retribuzione / Benefits

Support installation, inspection and commissioning of mechanical systems (HVAC, chilled water, pipework, ductwork, fire protection)

Review drawings, specs, and submittals for compliance and constructability

Coordinate mechanical works with CSA and electrical teams for system integration

Monitor site progress and track activities against milestones

Manage subcontractor performance ensuring productivity, quality and safety

Assist in procurement via technical reviews and material approvals

Participate in system walk‑downs,



pressure testing, flushing, balancing, commissioning

Ensure compliance with project specs, Italian regulations, and industry standards

Maintain documentation including test packs, commissioning records, and as‑built drawings

Promote Health & Safety best practices across mechanical activities on site

Responsabilità

Degree or trade qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline

3–5 years’ experience delivering mechanical works on large‑scale construction projects

Experience on data centre, pharmaceutical, or other mission‑critical projects is highly desirable xkiyazw

Strong knowledge of HVAC, chilled water, pumps, CRAC/CRAH units, and commissioning processes

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

Proven experience coordinating subcontractors and managing works to programme

Strong communication, organisational, and problem‑solving skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office and construction management platforms
