As an Underwriter Property in Milan, you will tailor innovative, bespoke solutions for a diverse client base, balancing profitability with client service. You’ll write new and renewal business within an allocated client range, building strong broker and client relationships to support portfolio growth aligned with the Business Plan. You’ll work within a regulated framework while collaborating with internal teams to deliver best-in-class risk solutions. This role offers impact through risk assessment, pricing decisions, and cross-functional partnership in a global insurer setting.

Review submissions (applications, policy wording, inspection reports, loss runs, financial reports) to assess risk
Calculate risk premium considering sector risk, reinsurance cessions, underwriting costs,



and profitability
Advise and service clients on insurance and risk management needs
Manage relationships to enable cross-selling and account retention
Ensure timely implementation of new/renewed accounts per quality standards
Support business planning and forecasting; monitor financial exposure and premium income within limits
Maintain awareness of claims and support settlement input
Previous experience in underwriting property lines
Bilingual in English and Italian
Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills
Ability to adapt to customer needs and influence outcomes
Team player across levels of seniority
Interest in trends and business transformation
