About the role As Head of Product Engineering you will lead four product engineering teams covering the consumer website and frontend, the checkout‐booking‐payments experience, the internal operations platform, and the tools used by tour coordinators and travel partners. You will report to the CTP‐O and be responsible for speed, quality, and predictability of delivery across all markets.
Key Responsibilities Lead the four product engineering teams, manage their engineering managers, and define team structure and headcount.
Own delivery of the product roadmap for web, checkout, payments, tour operations, and partner platforms.
Collaborate with the CTP‐O, product, design, and the Director of AI on technical strategy and AI‐assisted engineering practices.
Set and maintain standards for architecture, code quality, testing, reliability, and observability (Nuxt, Vue, NestJS, Laravel, PHP, Python, RabbitMQ, GraphQL, REST, GCP).
Develop engineering managers and senior engineers; run performance metrics, career frameworks, hiring, and onboarding.
Manage cross‐team dependencies, shared platforms,



incident response, post‐mortem, and technical‐debt processes.
Report engineering health, delivery throughput, reliability, and roadmap progress to the C‐team.
What we are looking for At least 8 years of software engineering experience, with 4 years leading teams and managing other managers in an organization of ~20 people.
Proven track record delivering complex, high‐traffic consumer products in a scale‐up or high‐growth environment.
Deep technical knowledge of modern web and backend stacks (JavaScript/TypeScript, PHP, Node, micro‐services, event‐driven architectures).
Strong people‐management skills: coaching engineering managers, setting priorities, and running autonomous teams.
Experience turning strategy into delivery using data and metrics.
Familiarity with AI‐assisted engineering tools (e.g., Cursor, Copilot, Claude Code) and ability to drive their adoption.
