You can expect to receive coaching and mentoring to enable you to complete assignments and projects to develop your learning and skillset. /p pYou will also have the opportunity to become familiar with the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) and culture of Baker Hughes. as well as our strong commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion. /p pThe Procurement Material Specialist Intern plays a pivotal role in driving the performance and continuous improvement of key operational KPIs, including on‑time delivery (OTD) and overdue backlog (ODBL), while supporting effective parts (PO) and Purchase Order Request (POR) prioritization and third party coordination. /p pIn this role, you will collaborate cross‑functionally with Procurement, Service, Finance, Global Operations, and PL teams, gaining a strong understanding of business drivers and actively contributing to enhanced Procurement efficiency, data‑driven decision making, and improved customer and business outcomes. /p h3As a Procurement Material Specialist Intern, you will be responsible for: /h3 ul liPartner with the Material Manager across a wide range of activities, from KPI performance tracking to driving continuous improvement initiatives along the Procurement value chain. /li liPrioritize and drive continuous improvement across processes, KPI frameworks, and cross‑functional collaboration,



strengthening customer focus and advancing operational excellence beyond traditional monitoring /li liLeverage data‑driven insights and statistical analysis to uncover business trends, identify process gaps, and support informed decision‑making. /li liContribute to key initiatives focused on on‑time delivery (OTD) and overdue backlog (ODBL), enhancing Procurement efficiency and elevating overall customer satisfaction in close collaboration with the Service organization. /li liSupport the development and refinement of forecasting and estimation models for OTD and ODBL performance. /li liPlay an active role in both strategic and tactical initiatives aimed at optimizing batch order management and mitigating its operational impact. /li liCollaborate closely with the Fulfillment Service team to capture sales opportunities and ensure alignment on priorities, enabling smoother execution and improved responsiveness. /li liDrive robust data management practices to support quarter‑end reporting and ensure the completeness and accuracy of the Procurement playbook. /li liLead and mentor intern resources, guiding their contributions in process automation and process gap analysis to foster innovation and efficiency. /li liEngage with external partners and third parties to ensure accurate and timely Procurement reporting. /li liSupport the SFM team (across Florence and Houston) in parts prioritization, contributing to improved operational efficiency and delivering greater value to customers. /li liFoster a structured weekly operating rhythm with the buyer organization to ensure seamless purchase order creation and execution. /li liCollaborate cross‑functionally with Procurement initiatives team and Service Finance teams to support accurate and insightful monthly KPI reporting. /li /ul h3Fuel your passion /h3 pTo be successful in this role you will: /p ul liBachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Engineering, or a related field. /li li3-5 years of relevant experience in material management, ERP systems, and/or project implementation within complex,



cross‑functional environments. /li liSolid understanding of materials management processes, including planning and control systems. /li liProven project management and consulting capabilities, with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive effective solutions across cross‑functional teams. /li liStrong knowledge of Oracle applications and related tools; familiarity with ERP systems is essential. /li liAdvanced analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights that support business performance. /li liExcellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively at multiple organizational levels. /li liStrong organizational and time management skills, with a high level of attention to detail and a structured, methodical approach. /li liAbility to operate with a strong sense of urgency, effectively managing priorities in a dynamic environment. /li liProficiency in Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel); additional experience with data analysis tools is considered a plus. /li liDemonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively, showing ownership and accountability in delivering results. /li liFluency in English /li liBe able to legally work in the country that you are applying in, without company sponsorship or time restriction /li /ul h3Work in a way that works for you /h3 pWe recognize that everyone is different and that the way in which people want to work and deliver at their best is different for everyone.
