You will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge automotive technology and make a direct impact on product quality. /ppAs a Field Quality Investigator, often known as our "Quality Flying Doctor," you will be the primary detective for our most challenging bfield quality issues /b. You will be on the bfront lines, traveling to the source of problems /bto conduct deep-dive btechnical analyses /b. /ppYour work will be crucial in bridging the gap between bcustomer-reported issues /band bengineering solutions /b, directly impacting product quality, customer satisfaction, and warranty costs. /ppYou don't just report problems; you own the initial investigation and provide the critical data needed to drive resolution. /ph3KEY RESPONSIBILITIES /h3ullibTravel to dealerships, repair shops, and customer locations /b to perform hands-on inspections of vehicles exhibiting quality concerns.
/liliConduct bdetailed interviews with customers, service technicians, and field service engineers to gather first-hand accounts of the issue. /b /liliPerform comprehensive bdata collection, i /bncluding reading and recording all relevant DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes), live data streams, and vehicle logs. /liliExecute bissue reappearance tests /bto confirm the problem and understand the specific conditions under which it occurs. /liliBuild a robust bpre-analysis /bfor each field quality case, compiling all evidence (photos, videos, data logs, measurements) into a concise and actionable report. /liliBased on your findings, perform initial triage to determine the most likely broot cause category /b: Design Flaw, Manufacturing/Process Issue, or Component Quality Failure. /liliCreate detailed btechnical summaries /bthat serve as the foundation for deeper investigation by specialized engineering teams (e.g., Powertrain, EE, Chassis). /liliIdentify, blog, and track new and emerging field issues /bwithin our quality management systems. /liliBuild and maintain bPareto analyses /bby "bucketizing" similar problems, calculating their frequency and gravity (severity, cost, safety impact). /liliManage and report on bkey Field Quality KPIs /b, such as Early Warranty Return Rate, Top Issue Rate, 3Mis /liliMonitor bissue trends /bover time to gauge the effectiveness of corrective actions. /liliPrepare and present bweekly and monthly synthesis reports /bon the status of all major investigations. /liliClearly bcommunicate /bcomplex technical issues to cross-functional teams, including management, engineering, and suppliers. /liliMaintain a "living" bdashboard of top field issues /b, highlighting investigation progress, current hypotheses, and roadblocks.
/li /ulh3WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR /h3ulliBachelor's degree in bMechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering /b, or a related field. /liliMinimum of b5 years of experience in automotive quality /b, field service engineering, diagnostics, or a similar technical investigative role. /liliDeep understanding of bautomotive systems /b(e.g., powertrain, infotainment, ADAS, body electronics) and diagnostic methodologies. /liliProven experience with bdiagnostic tools /b(e.g., ODIS, CANalyzer, Vector tools, DEKRA, etc.) and interpreting DTCs and data parameters. /liliExceptional banalytical and problem-solving skills /b, with a data-driven and meticulous approach. /lili bWillingness and ability to travel /bdomestically and internationally bup to 60% of the time /b, often at short notice. /li liExcellent bwritten and verbal communication skills /b, with the ability to create clear, concise, and professional reports. /li liExperience working directly with customers in a technical or service capacity. /li liProficiency in bdata analysis and visualization tools /b (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, SQL, Excel). /li liKnowledge of bquality core tools /b(e.g., 8D, FMEA, 5-Why, Fishbone Diagram). /li liSix Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification is appreciated. /li liFluency in bEnglish /band Italian (additional languages are a plus). /li /ulh3OFFER /h3ullibSalary range /b: from 40.000 € to 44.000 €, that will be defined depending on the level of adherence of the candidate to the job requirements /li libCollective Agreement /b: In accordance with the provisions of the Specific Collective Labour Agreement (CCSL – CNEL code: CO10), and in particular with regard to the classification within the third professional area. /li /ulpAt Stellantis, we assess candidates based on qualifications, merit and business needs.
