Together, we're improving health and improving lives. /p pb$10,000 sign on premio (external candidates only) /b /p pLabcorp is seeking a bTechnologist /bto join our team in bRome, NY /b. /p pbWork Schedule: /bMonday - Friday (3:00pm-11:30pm) and rotating weekends OR Saturday Sunday (12:00pm-12:30am) and rotating weekday (3 12-hour shifts) /p h3Job Responsibilities /h3 ul liDetermine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria /li liPerform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures /li liMonitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality /li liDemonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving /li liPrepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls /li liReport accurate and timely test results in order to deliver quality patient care /li liPerform and document preventative maintenance and quality control procedures /li liIdentify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary /li liAssist with processing of specimens when needed /li liMaintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment /li /ul h3Minimum Qualifications /h3 ul liBachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology /li liNY State Medical Technologist (MT)



License /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 ul li3 months or more of clinical laboratory testing experience /li liASCP or AMT certification /li /ul h3Additional Job Standards /h3 ul liIn lieu of education requirements listed above, non-traditional degrees with applicable science credits that meet CLIA standards may meet education requirements /li liUnderstanding of laboratory operations as well as policies and procedures /li liExperience working in a high volume laboratory environment /li liAbility to work independently and within a team environment /li liProficient with computers; Familiarity with laboratory information systems /li liHigh level of attention to detail along with strong communication and organizational skills /li liAbility to handle the physical requirements of the position /li liAble to pass a standardized blindness test /li liFlexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs /li /ul h3Benefits /h3 ul liEmployees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. /li liEmployees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, , and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan. /li liEmployees who are regularly scheduled toworka 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
