ppAs In-Service Inspection Discipline Leader, you drive the technical coordination of the team responsible for monitoring and inspection systems for LFR and other nuclear projects. You provide engineering leadership to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient deliverables, aligning design intent with manufacturability and operations. You’ll lead cross-functional collaboration, oversee SQEP processes, and guide continuous improvement within the discipline. This role offers scope to influence safety culture and technical excellence in a regulated environment. /pulliPermanent contract /liliLead the technical development of the In-Service Inspection and coordinate the discipline team /liliEnsure deliverables meet technical content and quality standards, reporting to the Head of Unit /liliAdvise on Engineering Design Plans and deliverables lists within the discipline /liliSupport resource management, recruitment, performance evaluation, and training within the unit /liliImplement engineering procedures and compliance with legislative requirements /liliSupport SQEP process management within the disciplinary unit /liliDeliver tasks efficiently within the unit's technical discipline and meet quality objectives /liliEnsure engineering output adheres to standards, legislation, and contractual requirements /liliCoordinate responses to external regulator and client comments and design changes /liliProvide guidance on applicable procedures, codes,
and standards for design substantiation /liliApprove engineered solutions and chair compliance reviews when delegated /liliDefine delivery priority for technical documents when delegated /liliEscalate complex multidisciplinary issues and seek guidance from upper management /liliSupport continuous improvement and contribute to unit estimates (man-hours, procurement costs) /liliAssist HU to identify scope and cost impacts from external requirements /liliDefine training programs for the Disciplinary Section /liliEnsure adherence to Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety systems and organizational model /liliSupport technical discussions with External Entities /liliFoster collaboration across mechanical, electrical, automation, and systems teams /liliPromote safety, quality, innovation, and technical excellence within the discipline /liliDegree in Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent in physics, materials, non-destructive testing /liliExperience coordinating teams on engineering aspects of inspection methods in nuclear environments /liliKnowledge of inspection methods in nuclear environments and NDT (e.g., ultrasound, eddy current, visual) /liliExperience in nuclear or highly regulated environments with understanding of safety aspects /liliMin 10 years of engineering experience with NDT, nuclear inspection, or metrology services /liliKnowledge of applicable In-Service Inspection standards (AFCEN RCC-MRx, RSE-M, ASME XI, ENIQ, IAEA guidelines) /liliStrong understanding of manufacturing, assembly, and system integration constraints (a plus) /liliExperience with suppliers and managing technical interfaces in complex projects /liliExposure to nuclear or regulated environments preferred /liliProven ability to lead technical activities within a discipline /liliExperience resolving cross-domain design issues /liliFamiliarity with the U.S. regulatory framework /liliFor Italy: Italian language (C1+); for France: French language (C1+) /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
