Understands concepts, methods, procedures and approaches. /p pThe bCommodity Buyer /b is responsible for: /p ul liDeveloping and executing long term strategies for the assigned commodity, ensuring best performance for procurement KPI /li liIntegrating commodity strategies into product leadership, engineering and manufacturing objectives. /li liFor New Product Development, driving supplier selection, development, and overall supplier management with support of engineering, product leadership or other sourcing team in accordance with the business strategy /li liPartnering and being a point of reference for Product Leadership, Sales and Engineering for product strategy of the assigned commodity /li liDeveloping negotiation strategies and leading negotiations to achieve stated goals and objectives of supply chain for Single PO as well as Strategic Partnership /li liNegotiating and issuing purchase orders with suppliers achieving lowest possible cost for material, balanced against optimum quality and schedule needs /li liDeveloping Sourcing initiatives for cost out program, deflation, cycle reduction,
