Chi siamo Una carriera in Hitachi Rail rappresenta un investimento per il futuro. Hitachi Rail is seeking a Validation Engineer to join its team, based in Genoa. The successful candidate will become part of the team specialized in Hitachi Rail’s product certification activities, working within a laboratory qualified according to the EN 17025 standard and operating in compliance with the company's quality management system. The role involves laboratory activities, coordination of certification tests, and support for the maintenance and continuous improvement of the laboratory quality management system.
Responsibilities
- Perform Hitachi Rail laboratory activities, including both documentation-related tasks and hands-on testing activities.
- Prepare Type Test documentation, including Test Plans, Test Procedures, and Test Reports, in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements.
- Set up test configurations and conduct laboratory testing on products.
- Coordinate and oversee testing activities carried out at external laboratories accredited by ACCREDIA.
- Verify and monitor laboratory equipment calibration activities and the related documentation.
- Support the maintenance and updating of the laboratory Quality Management System.
- Ensure the correct application of technical standards and metrological methodologies related to the tests performed.
- Collaborate with certification bodies,
customers, and accreditation organizations.
- Travel for short- and medium-term assignments, mainly within Italy.
Required Skills/Knowledge
- Ability to use measurement instruments and laboratory equipment.
- Capability to perform and supervise certification testing activities.
- Knowledge of technical documentation related to testing and validation activities.
- Ability to analyze test results and prepare technical reports.
- Good knowledge of metrology applied to electromagnetic, mechanical, climatic, and electrical quantities.
- Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office and data management/calibration software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving mindset and commitment to continuous improvement.
- Accuracy, reliability, and quality orientation.
- Ability to work effectively within a team.
- Operational autonomy and sense of responsibility.
- Commitment to continuous professional and technical development.
Desidered Skills/Knowledge
- Experience in managing testing or calibration laboratories.
- Familiarity with quality management systems based on EN 17025.
- Experience coordinating activities with accredited laboratories.
- Interest in innovation and continuous improvement.
Education and Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline.
- 3-5 years of experience in testing or calibration laboratory activities, preferably within ACCREDIA-accredited laboratories.
Languages
- Good Italian proficiency.
- Good knowledge of technical English,
both written and spoken.
Salary
Retribuzione annua lorda compresa tra 35.000€ e 45.900€.
