ph3Job Purpose /h3 pThe Embedded Software Engineer works within the vehicle electrification business unit and collaborates with system, software, hardware, controls, validation, and cybersecurity teams to support the development of embedded software for automotive ECU applications. This role is intended for an early-career engineer who will learn and contribute to software implementation, integration, documentation, debugging, and verification activities under the guidance of experienced team members. The engineer may work on embedded application software, AUTOSAR-based software components, communication interfaces, diagnostics, bootloader-related features, and cybersecurity features such as secure communication, secure boot, secure software update, and key management when required by the project. /p h3Job Duties And Responsibilities /h3 ul liSupport development, configuration, integration, and validation of embedded software for automotive ECU and vehicle electrification programs under the direction of senior engineers. /li liContribute to embedded software implementation using C/C++, model-based generated code, or AUTOSAR software components as applicable to the project. /li liAssist with software integration activities involving application software, basic software, communication interfaces, diagnostics, memory services, and bootloader-related features. /li liSupport cybersecurity-related software features when required, including secure communication, secure boot, secure software update, key management, and HSM interface integration. /li liReview and clarify assigned customer, system, and software requirements with support from senior team members. /li liPrepare software design notes, implementation documentation, test evidence, and engineering work products required for project delivery. /li liMaintain traceability between assigned requirements, software design items, implementation tasks, and verification evidence using engineering lifecycle tools. /li liSupport debugging, issue analysis,
root cause investigation, and verification activities for embedded software features. /li liFollow software development processes, coding guidelines, configuration management practices, and quality expectations aligned with automotive engineering standards. /li liParticipate in design reviews, code reviews, software integration reviews, project meetings, and technical training activities. /li /ul h3Required Experience /h3 ul li3 years of experience in embedded software development, automotive software, controls software, or related engineering coursework, internship, co-op, or project experience. /li liBasic programming experience in C or C++; familiarity with embedded software concepts, microcontrollers, memory, interrupts, and real-time constraints is preferred. /li liExposure to automotive ECUs, AUTOSAR, CAN/LIN/Ethernet communication, diagnostics, bootloaders, or model-based development is preferred but not required. /li liBasic awareness of cybersecurity concepts such as authentication, encryption, secure communication, secure boot, software updates, or key management is a plus. /li liStrong willingness to learn embedded software development, automotive engineering practices, and project-specific tools and processes. /li liGood communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills. /li liAbility to work in a team environment, ask questions, follow technical direction, and complete assigned tasks with guidance. /li liFamiliarity with Jira, Polarion, Azure DevOps, Git, or similar engineering lifecycle and configuration management tools is a plus. /li liAwareness of ASPICE, ISO 26262, or ISO/SAE 21434 is preferred but not required. /li /ul h3Education /h3 ul liBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline. /li liEmbedded software, automotive software, controls, or cybersecurity-related coursework, projects, internships, or certifications are a plus. /li /ul h3Compensation Data /h3 pAnnual base salary range: EUR 40K - 60K /p /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
