Curricular internships are reserved for students and are aimed at integrating learning with work experience. To activate an internship, an agreement is required between the promoting body (university, high school, employment agency, training center, etc.) and the company, accompanied by a training plan. The promoting body and the hosting body appoint tutors for the drafting of the training plan, for insertion, for the definition of organizational and didactic conditions, for monitoring the training path and for the attestation of the activity carried out.
The curricular internship opportunity is located in the ROLLING STOCK & BUS MAINTENANCE Directorate and will take place from October 2026 to January 2027.
The training project, developed in a team and with the support of the company tutor, will aim to develop models and prototypes of agents based on Artificial Intelligence to support the analysis of on-board diagnostic logs of each metropolitan and tram vehicle. The project is part of the context of advanced diagnostics and predictive maintenance of rolling stock, with the aim of automatically transforming raw diagnostic data, acquired from on-board systems, into useful information for the early identification of anomalies, degradation phenomena or potential malfunctions, as well as supporting maintenance decisions. The output must be the automatic production of a technical report containing the aforementioned information.
Requirements
- Enrollment in Engineering faculties with a focus on Computer Science;
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Knowledge of the main design and analysis software;
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
