Experteer Overview

In this role, you lead the product engineering group within the Power Modules Subdivision to concept, characterize, release and manage power module products from an electrical perspective. You collaborate with the R&D; team to design electrical aspects, select and evaluate dice and components, and conduct module characterization and parasitics-aware simulations. You will interact with customers to derive specifications and drive continuous improvement across global R&D; teams. This is a hands‑on leadership role at Vishay Borgaro Design Center with a clear impact on high-performance power modules.

- Lead the product engineering group and oversee concepting, characterization, release and management of power module products from electrical standpoint
- Define target datasheets and estimate key performance data using dice datasheets and package characteristics
- Design electrical parts of power modules, selecting dice and components for integration
- Characterize electrical performance and design boards for low stray inductance
- Perform FEM-based simulations of module electromagnetic behavior and parasitics extraction




- Design tests and select test machinery as needed
- Address issues on existing products with manufacturing or customer applications
- Manage workload and development plans for team members
- Develop customer-facing specifications and interact with customers during development

Responsabilità

- Knowledge of power semiconductors: process, characteristics, failure mechanisms, circuit behavior
- Master's degree in electronic engineering with courses in devices physics and power electronics
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in power electronics/module design
- Knowledge of main power conversion circuits (rectifiers, inverters, PFCs, dc/dc)
- Electrical modeling including parasitics and electrical measurements
- Ability to lead a multidisciplinary, globally distributed team and drive continuous improvement
- Willingness to travel to sites worldwide and to customer sites as needed
