Draexlmaier is one of the world's leading suppliers of premium automotive interiors and electrical wiring systems and as part of our continued growth, we are now seeking a Cost Engineer (Tooling and Equipment) to be based at our site and provide value cost analysis for production equipment (injection-moulding/laminating tools, assembly lines, special machines and standard machines including peripherals) **Key responsibilities**: - To act as an internal and external cost expert within your own area of expertise
- To analyse, evaluate and calculate the costs for production equipment and tools
- To Identify, develop and implement cost reduction measures in close cooperation with other departments, such as development, quality and sales
- To organise and moderate workshops (participants: internal departments, suppliers) to analyse and optimize the cost structure of tooling and equipment but also part prices
- To support the Lead Buyer in technical details in cost negotiations with suppliers
- To review of suppliers' equipment concepts (plausibility checks)
- To review internal equipment concepts and development of optimization proposals
- To prepare cost details regarding equipment in cooperation with sales units for cost negotiations with the customer




- To participate in supplier evaluations and make-or-buy analyses
- To assist the management of international calculation processes
- To support purchasing in the sourcing process (e.g. feasibility, Techday, etc.) and in cost negotiations with suppliers for award and renegotiation (e.g. 3 months after SOP, part price and invest check)
- To support Product Cost Management and Product Cost Calculation
- To support different Cost Management methodologies **Skills and experience required**: - University/technical college or technician qualification with appropriate additional training and work experience (minimum 3-5 years)
- Demonstrable experience of manufacturing and production technologies and equipment and tooling for them
- Experience in the evaluation/calculation of equipment of any kind and/or willingness to independently familiarize yourself with new manufacturing technologies/equipment concepts
- Good level of English language
- Commercial, cost and technical understanding
- Expertise in cost management methodology
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Proficiency with Microsoft office
