Experteer Overview

In this role you will maintain and evolve Allegro’s global Linux infrastructure that supports high-performance engineering simulation. You’ll partner with the EDA group to ensure standards and peak performance for Cadence and Cliosoft-based workflows used in IC design. You’ll resolve incidents, automate operational tasks, and manage on-call coverage to keep critical design tools available. This is an opportunity to impact product development by enabling reliable, scalable simulation environments. - Plan, install, and support Linux environments (virtualized and physical)
- Collaborate with the global EDA operations team to ensure high availability for engineering design applications (Cadence, Cliosoft)
- Administer server lifecycle: install, configure, test, patch, and automate procedures
- Manage Dell EMC VxRail with VMware/vSphere; deploy VMs and templates; oversee Isilon storage and SAN concepts
- Maintain enterprise services (NIS, NFS, CIFS,



data transfer tools)
- Use Zabbix or similar to monitor system health; write Bash/Python/Perl scripts to automate tasks
- Ensure timely resolution of high-severity incidents with clear communication and follow-ups
- Create and follow technical documentation; provide redundancy and cross-training
- Participate in on-call escalation for 24/7 coverage

Responsabilità

- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years managing an enterprise Linux environment
- Expert knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) versions 6, 7, 8
- Experience with Windows Server OS, patching, and VMware/ESXi
- Hands‑on experience with Dell PowerEdge servers and Dell EMC storage
- Ability to read/write Linux scripts to automate tasks
- Strong verbal and written communication; ability to prioritize in a fast‑paced environment
- Linux Professional Certification (RHCSA/RHCE) is a plus unknown
