Key Responsibilities
- Execute regional procurement strategies and localization initiatives across Europe.
- Identify, qualify, and manage suppliers for energy storage components and systems.
- Lead supplier negotiations, RFQs, pricing discussions, and contract execution.
- Manage supplier performance, capacity planning, delivery schedules, and quality issues.
- Support sourcing activities for key ESS components, including battery cells, PCS, BMS, thermal management systems, enclosures, electrical equipment, cables, and related components.
- Monitor market trends, pricing movements, supplier risks, and supply chain developments.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with relevant European regulations, certifications, and ESG requirements.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, quality, project delivery, finance, and legal teams.
- Provide regular reporting on project status, supplier performance, risks, and market insights.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, International Trade, Renewable Energy, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of procurement experience within the energy storage, battery, renewable energy, power electronics, or wider energy sector.
- Strong knowledge of European supplier networks,
sourcing strategies, and procurement processes.
- Proven experience in supplier management, commercial negotiations, contract administration, and cost optimization.
- Understanding of energy storage systems (ESS) and key components such as battery cells, PCS, BMS, thermal management systems, electrical components, and related equipment is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with European regulatory requirements, CE compliance, ESG standards, and supply chain due diligence practices.
- Fluent in English, with the ability to conduct commercial negotiations and manage supplier relationships independently.
- Mandarin language skills would be advantageous due to regular collaboration with international suppliers and global stakeholder teams.
- Applicants with an existing right to work in Italy, Greece, or the UK may be particularly well positioned due to the company's operational footprint and business requirements.
- Experience working in the Greek market or managing supplier relationships across Southern Europe would be advantageous.
- A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced international environment.
