Posizione:

Network Operation Center Specialist

The IT Network Operation Center Specialist (NOC Engineer) is responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, security, and reliability of the organization's network infrastructure. The role focuses on monitoring, maintaining, troubleshooting, and enhancing enterprise network environments, while supporting network operations, security, and infrastructure projects. Working within a Network Operations Center (NOC) environment, the Network Engineer collaborates with internal teams and external service providers to deliver high-quality network services and ensure business continuity.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor, maintain, and support the organization's enterprise network infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.




- Implement, configure, and administer network components, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, wireless networks, and VPN solutions.
- Support the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of network architecture and communication systems.
- Configure, manage, and enforce network security policies, ensuring compliance with corporate IT security standards.
- Administer firewall environments and network access controls to protect enterprise infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot network incidents, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and ensure timely resolution of service requests and operational issues.
- Support on-site engineers and collaborate with external service providers when network management activities are outsourced.
- Monitor network performance and proactively identify opportunities for optimization and continuous improvement.
- Contribute to infrastructure projects, implementing network best practices, quality standards, and operational procedures.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation related to network configurations, standards, and operational processes.
- Participate in shift-based operations to ensure continuous monitoring and support of network services.

Requisiti:

Qualifications and Experience

- Proven experience supporting and administering enterprise network infrastructures.
- Strong hands-on experience with network technologies, including routing, switching, VLANs, wireless networks (802.11 standards), VPNs, and network security.
- Proven expertise with Palo Alto Firewalls and/or F5 Load Balancers, or equivalent technologies.
- Solid knowledge of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, STP, ARP, Ethernet, OSPF, BGP, SD-WAN, and related technologies.
- Experience supporting and troubleshooting LAN, VLAN, WLAN, VPN, NAT, and DHCP environments.
- Experience administering firewalls, routers, switches, load balancers, proxy, and reverse proxy solutions.
- Proven experience in incident management, service request management, and troubleshooting using Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodologies.
- Experience working with network monitoring, management, and ticketing systems.




- Knowledge of Wi-Fi network installation and troubleshooting, public DNS services, and Global Server Load Balancing (GSLB).
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure networking services.
- Relevant networking certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, Cisco Meraki Solutions Specialist, Juniper JNCIA, or equivalent) are considered an advantage.
- Experience working in a Network Operations Center (NOC) environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Availability to work on-site and on a shift schedule (Monday to Friday).

In compliance with applicable pay transparency legislation, we provide the following information regarding the initial remuneration envisaged for this position.

The position will be classified within the Employee category, at one of the C2, C3, B1 or B2 levels under the Italian Metalworking Industry National Collective Bargaining Agreement (CCNL Metalmeccanico Industria).

The classification level and any additional remuneration components supplementing the base salary will be determined based on an assessment, carried out during the selection process, of objective and neutral criteria such as, by way of example, the candidate’s professional experience, technical skills, level of autonomy and the responsibilities required by the role.
