Modena

Position Embedded Software Engineer Design, develop, integrate, and validate embedded software solutions for electronic control systems, ensuring quality, robustness, reliability, and compliance with applicable standards. The role contributes to the definition of software architecture, the development of embedded components, and integration on target hardware within multidisciplinary and technologically advanced environments. Responsibilities Define and develop embedded software architectures according to functional, performance, and target hardware requirements. Develop embedded software components and real-time applications using dedicated programming languages and development tools. Implement and industrialize control models and software logic for embedded systems. Integrate application software, Basic Software, and legacy components, ensuring system compatibility and reliability. Perform compilation, debugging, validation, and testing activities on target hardware. Carry out Model-in-the-Loop (MIL), Software-in-the-Loop (SIL), and functional verification activities. Verify code quality and compliance with software development guidelines and applicable standards. Collaborate in defining software interfaces and communication protocols. Support troubleshooting and software issue analysis activities during integration and validation phases. Prepare and maintain up-to-date technical and Software Design documentation. Manage software versioning through dedicated repositories and contribute to software release processes.



Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the achievement of technical, quality, and project objectives. Requirements Technical: Degree in Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Automation Engineering, Telecommunications, or equivalent technical/scientific disciplines. Knowledge of C programming language and Matlab/Simulink. Knowledge of embedded software development principles and real-time systems. Understanding of electronic control architectures and embedded systems. Familiarity with debugging, compilation, simulation, and software testing tools. Knowledge of major industrial and embedded communication protocols (e.g. CAN, Ethernet, serial communication). Familiarity with software version control environments (e.g. Git). Knowledge of software integration and validation processes. Knowledge of standards and frameworks for safety-critical systems and modular software architectures is considered a plus. Good written and spoken Italian proficiency (B2/C1 level). Good written and spoken English proficiency (B2/C1 level). Soft: Ability to analyze and break down complex technical problems. Structured approach to problem solving. Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams and dynamic environments. Quality-oriented mindset and focus on continuous improvement. Organizational skills and ability to manage priorities. Flexibility and adaptability to different project and technological contexts. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
