How you'll make an impact As a Graduate Catastrophe Analyst, you will be immersed in all aspects of front‑line modelling work for our insurance clients from early in your career, including: Approaching and solving complex, non‑standard analytical problems to deliver tailored insights and solutions for our clients Data auditing & cleansing Learning and utilizing catastrophe modelling software Operation of financial modelling software and interpretation of model outputs Real‑time reporting and analysis of natural disasters and supporting client’s post‑event Opportunities Domestic or global travel, as required Increasing opportunities for client interaction and responsibility as your experience and capabilities evolve Support for industry qualifications About you Educational Requirements Degree in Maths, Physics, Hydrology, Natural Sciences, Geo‑Sciences, Geography, Meteorology, Climate Science, Engineering (Civil, Hydraulic, or Environmental), or equivalent qualification. Desired Skills and Qualifications Demonstrated enthusiasm and keen interest in the fields of Insurance, Risk Management, and Reinsurance.



Strong curiosity, open‑minded attitude, and a genuine desire to learn and embrace new challenges. Solid technical aptitude with the ability to understand and apply mathematical, probabilistic, and quantitative concepts in a real‑world risk context. Passion for coding and data‑driven analysis, with an interest in working with large datasets and analytical tools such as R, Python, Matlab, and SQL. Proven ability to cultivate and maintain robust relationships with internal and external stakeholders across all organizational levels. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Power Point. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact well with diverse groups. Comprehensive geographical awareness. First experience with Catastrophe Modelling Software, Risk Management Solutions, GIS (Geographic Information Systems), or Data Analysis is beneficial.
