Vertiv is looking for a Thermodynamic HVAC/chiller Engineer to be part of the Thermal Management mechanical Design team within the R&D; Department, based in Piove di Sacco, Italy. He/She will be mainly focused on the Chiller products.

Responsibilities:
- To manage the development of new R&D; products in the data center cooling sector for high profile and well-known global datacenter customers.
- Deliver a fast and customer focused response on “engineered to order” (ETO) projects, where a new solution is based on an existing and well proven platform.




- Work in a multi-disciplinary engineering team on global products focusing on high performance, cost effective design and market leading innovation.
- To lead the design of new products or re-engineer existing ones, collaborating with, Marketing, Procurement and Industrial Engineering, being aware of the customer’s needs.
- To approve and review product documentation (CAD drawings, specifications, bills of material).
- To meet objectives of cost, quality, environment and time of execution, achieving the best trade-off between market and internal customer needs.
- To analyze and resolve technical problems as regards products under his/her responsibility.
- Availability to travel on request between the Italian HQ (base) and a production facility in Slovakia.
- A good level of experience in the HVAC sector with particularly good knowledge of Thermodynamics and refrigeration.

Requirements:
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Mecha
