About the Role

Health & Safety Specialist at the plant in Sant’Angelo Dei Lombardi (AV). The role ensures effective implementation of Health & Safety standards, acting as key reference for occupational safety, accident prevention and human‑centered work design.

Responsibilities

- Identify, assess and reduce Health & Safety risks, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, internal standards and procedures on the shopfloor and by contractors.
- Perform and update risk assessments, support audits, follow‑up activities and ensure working conditions comply with all applicable Health & Safety regulations.
- Contribute to incident investigations, root cause analyses and the definition of preventive and corrective actions; oversee H&S; KPI monitoring and prepare regular reports.
- Manage and maintain Health & Safety documentation required by external agencies and regulatory bodies; provide technical support on interpretation and application of Health & Safety legislation.
- Support implementation and effective control of corporate procedures and policies across different functions and the emergency organization in alignment with the plant emergency plan.
- Contribute to development, review and updating of local operational work instructions and procedures (e.g., Machine Safety, Lo.To.To, Management of Change, Confined Spaces) and support continuous improvement of the Health and Safety Management System.
- Plan, coordinate and deliver H&S; training activities, fostering a strong safety culture through regular shopfloor interactions, Gemba Walks,



engagement initiatives and internal communication campaigns.
- Coach managers and employees to take ownership of safety responsibilities, promote wellbeing initiatives and increase awareness through continuous presence and dedicated campaigns.
- Implement H&S; LEAN manufacturing practices, including KPIs, SOPs, OPLs, RCA, Safety Maps, PPE Matrix, KK and SMED, supporting continuous enhancement of safety performance and operational excellence.

Qualifications

- Master’s Degree in Engineering or Prevention Techniques in Health and Safety.
- Solid knowledge of applicable legislation and safety regulations; qualified as ASPP or RSPP; trainer or auditor certification is a plus.
- Experience with machinery‑related risks and consolidated experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proactive, curious, strong communication skills and versatility; ability to interact effectively across production teams, H&S; teams, maintenance and People & Organization.
- Comfortable working at an operational level and in people‑management contexts, contributing to a culture of safety ownership and continuous improvement.
- Fluent in Italian and English.

Compensation

The role is classified at Level2° under the National Collective Agreement for the Food Industry (CCNL Industria Alimentare). The guaranteed minimum base annual gross salary established by the CCNL for the applicable level is €36,910. The overall compensation will be determined based on experience, skills and qualifications of the selected candidate.
