Responsibilities

- Run characterizations on Android platforms, including phones and development boards.
- Develop and run system and mNAND architecture models, and provide configuration/trade‑off analysis for future mNAND designs.
- Enable and modify system platforms for mobile phones and automotive development boards.
- Run benchmark tools and analyze their outputs, such as performance data.
- Design an automatic kernel logging system (e.g., dmesg, kmsg, ftrace).
- Investigate kernel drivers and the impact of new features.
- Build the Linux kernel to enable or disable mNAND features.

Minimum Qualifications

- Experience with Bash shell scripting.
- Python programming with data analysis libraries (e.g., numpy, pandas, polar).
- Programming skills in C.
- Basic knowledge of Android architecture.

Preferred Qualifications

- Knowledge of simulators for autonomous driving and robotics (CARLA, ISAAC).
- Experience with laboratory tools such as protocol analyzers, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and JTAG/ICE debuggers.
- Experience with data storage technologies: NAND, SSD, eMMC, or UFS.




- Experience in firmware development and validation, system failure analysis, and problem solving.
- Familiarity with modern protocol analyzers and software development methodologies.

Education & Experience

- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or an equivalent field.
- Near graduation or fresh graduate (less than 1 year of post‑graduation experience).

Compensation

- Internship positions in Italy: €900 – €1,200 per month plus meal vouchers for each day worked onsite.
- Working‑student positions in Germany: approximately €15 (gross) per hour, based on education and experience.
- All remuneration is determined by objective criteria, regardless of gender or any other protected characteristic.
