In this role you will contribute to the design and validation of the Data Handling Subsystem for high-profile space missions. You will work within the DHS team to define OBC, RTU and MMU interfaces, and ensure reliable on-board processing and communications. You will engage across multi-disciplinary teams to deliver robust avionics solutions for missions like LISA, GAM, and LightShip-1. Retribuzione / Benefits Contribute to the design and specification of the DHS and its units (OBC, RTU, MMU) Define electrical and communication interfaces between DH units and system avionics Specify and validate DH communication protocols (MIL1553, CAN, SpaceWire, TTEthernet, RS232/RS442/RS485, SPI, I2C) Assist in procurement of DH subsystems and units via subcontractors Support integration and test (AIT)
of the DH subsystem with system avionics Define and specify DH Test Benches for Processor In the Loop (PIL), Hardware In the Loop (HIL) and Closed Loop tests Support requirements verification and resolve non-conformities Contribute to technical and managerial meetings and formal reviews with the Customer Responsabilità Master's degree in Electronic Engineering (or equivalent) At least 2 years of professional experience in DHS design or testing at subsystem or unit level Knowledge of avionics architecture for design trade-offs Experience with space-qualified multicore microprocessors (LEON, PPC) and development environments (GRMON, UBOOT, ECLIPSE) Knowledge xrdztoy of space-qualified DH components (Memories, FPGA, ADC, DAC) Proficiency in C, C++, Python; basic knowledge of Assembler Familiarity with RTOS (RTEMS, VXWORKS) is a plus Knowledge of modeling tools (Matlab/Simulink, PSPICE) Knowledge of VHDL and FPGA synthesis
