NTU International is preparing a proposal for the EU-funded project “EU Assistance for the Uzbekistan AgriFood Development Strategy 2020–2030 ", which aims to support the Government of Uzbekistan in the implementation of a sustainable, market-oriented, inclusive and climate-smart agri-food system. The project focuses on strengthening policy and regulatory frameworks, institutional capacities, and public sector governance in support of the Agri-Food Development Strategy 2020–2030.
The Technical Assistance will support the integration of climate adaptation and climate resilience considerations into agricultural policies, institutional frameworks, natural resource management systems, and sustainable rural development initiatives across Uzbekistan.
NTU International is seeking a Senior Climate Adaptation Expert to support climate adaptation planning, resilience mainstreaming, and climate-smart agriculture initiatives related to the implementation of the Uzbekistan AgriFood Development Strategy 2020–2030.
Key Responsibilities




- Support integration of climate adaptation and resilience considerations into agri-food policies, programmes, and institutional frameworks;
- Provide technical assistance on climate-smart agriculture, climate risk management, and adaptation planning;
- Conduct climate vulnerability assessments, adaptation analyses, and resilience assessments related to agriculture and rural development;
- Support development of climate adaptation strategies, operational frameworks, and institutional guidance documents;
- Advise Ministries and public institutions on climate resilience, sustainable land management, and environmental sustainability measures;
- Promote integration of water efficiency, sustainable farming practices, biodiversity protection, and ecosystem resilience into agricultural systems;
- Contribute to preparation of climate analyses, adaptation roadmaps, technical studies, and policy recommendations;
