Permitting Specialist – Solar Utility Scale Projects

Risorse Professional is recruiting for a highly motivated Permitting Specialist to work on behalf of a prominent British investment fund.

The role involves developing utility-scale solar projects in Central‑Northern Italy, overseeing technical and permitting aspects throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities
- Evaluate and analyze land for new solar projects.
- Manage the entire project development process.
- Supervise project progress, deliverables, deadlines and risks.
- Coordinate consultants, authorities, suppliers and other stakeholders throughout the project life‑cycle.
- Monitor the completion and accuracy of technical, environmental and grid connection studies.
- Define and manage project schedules, including sequencing, resource allocation and duration estimates.
- Conduct feasibility studies and produce related technical reports.
- Define the overall plant layout (plan, component placement, access, etc.).
- Select all components to be included in the plant design.




- Authorize and coordinate the definition of the grid connection system.
- Prepare all documentation required for the permitting process.
- Develop the plant’s executive design.
- Perform cost analysis for each project phase.
- Interface with all entities involved in the permitting process.
- Chair service conferences and technical tables.
- Provide technical support to EPC to ensure correct installation and grid connection.

Qualifications
- Master’s degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, energy, civil or related fields).
- 1‑2 years of experience in development or permitting of utility‑scale solar projects or similar roles.
- Good knowledge of relationships with municipalities and competent authorities.
- Strong analytical skills, adaptability and efficiency.
- Motivated to work in a growing environment and able to handle multiple projects concurrently.
- Proficiency with technical software: AUTOCAD, PVCase, PVSyst, QGIS, F
