About the Role Accounting Specialist position in Trieste. Join a dynamic finance team led by a Finance Manager and five colleagues. The role requires full ownership of the accounts payable cycle, ensuring independent management and strict compliance with tax regulations.Key Duties
- Receiving, registering and checking supplier invoices (domestic, EU and non‑EU)
- Verifying the correct application of VAT rates and tax obligations (e.G., reverse charge, split payment)
- Managing VAT registers
- Preparing monthly/quarterly VAT returns (LIPE) and assisting with the completion of tax returns
- Reconciling supplier accounts
- Supporting external consultant for Yearly VAT declaration
- Preparing INTRASTAT and Esterometro reports on cross‑border transactions
- Managing intent letters
About You We’re looking for a skilled and motivated professional with a solid educational background, ideally holding a bachelor’s degree in a related field, and 3 to 5 years of experience as an Accounting Specialist within an international environment.
The ideal candidate brings strong negotiation and mediation skills and a deep understanding of Italian accounting regulations. Proficiency in MS Office tools and Accounting Information Systems is essential, as is fluency in English. Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 will be considered a strong advantage, while knowledge of free‑port areas would be a valuable plus.
