Job Overview We are seeking an HSE Specialist to support the implementation and continuous improvement of Health, Safety, and Environmental practices within construction site operations in Perugia. The role is responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable legislation, company procedures, and client requirements, with a strong focus on temporary and mobile construction sites. The position contributes to the maintenance and development of the Company’s Management Systems and actively promotes a proactive health and safety culture across all phases of project execution.Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning, implementation, and monitoring of HSE activities on construction sites.
- Ensure compliance with Italian Health and Safety legislation, particularly Legislative Decree 81/08 and its amendments, with specific focus on Title IV (Temporary and Mobile Construction Sites).
- Review and verify site documentation, including Risk Assessments, Method Statements, Safety Plans (POS), Coordination and Safety Plans (PSC), permits, authorizations, and other HSE records.
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and safety observations to monitor compliance with legal and company requirements.
- Verify the correct implementation of preventive and protective measures on site.
- Monitor the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and work equipment.
- Support Project and Site Management teams in identifying, assessing, and mitigating HSE risks.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, near misses, and non-conformities, identifying root causes and proposing corrective and preventive actions.
- Promote HSE awareness and support the delivery of toolbox talks, safety briefings, and training activities.
- Participate in emergency preparedness activities, drills, and response planning.
- Interface with clients, subcontractors, Safety Coordinators, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders on HSE matters.
