Experteer Overview As a Software Engineer at Kong, you will help build and maintain high-performance API connectivity software, including the Kong Gateway Operator and Kong Ingress Controller. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver features that scale across cloud, on-prem, and hybrid environments.
You’ll contribute to design decisions, write well-tested Go code, and engage with the open-source community. This role suits someone who enjoys distributed systems and cloud-native challenges and wants to help shape industry-leading connectivity solutions.

Responsabilità
- 1-2+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Proficiency in Golang (or strong proficiency in C/C++/Java/Python with willingness to learn Go)
- Familiarity with Kubernetes architecture and concepts (Pods, Deployments, Services, CRDs)
- Ability to deliver routine work with general instructions and handle new projects with detailed guidance
- Experience writing unit and integration tests
- Strong learning mindset, self-awareness, and growth-drive
- Good communication and collaboration in a distributed, remote-first team
