This position requires relocation to Kuwait School of Architecture and Design Position Summary The School of Architecture and Design invites applications for a full-time faculty position in Art History and Architectural History at the rank of Full Professor, Associate Professor, or Assistant Professor, depending on qualifications and experience. Candidates with academic qualifications in Architecture or Architectural History are strongly encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellence in teaching Art History and Architectural History within a design-oriented academic environment, maintain an active research profile, and contribute to critical discourse in historical and contemporary art and architectural contexts. The appointee will support undergraduate education, curriculum development, research initiatives, student mentorship,



and institutional service within a collaborative and multicultural academic setting. Key Responsibilities Teaching and Curriculum Development Deliver undergraduate courses in Art History and Architectural History, including global art history, modern and contemporary art, architectural history, design history, visual culture, and critical theory. Teach survey and specialized courses aligned with Interior Design, Graphic Design, and Architecture programs. Integrate interdisciplinary perspectives connecting art history, architecture, and design practice. Develop and update course content to reflect scholarly advancements and accreditation expectations. Guide students in research-based writing, analytical methodologies, and presentation skills. Contribute to curriculum review and program development initiatives.
