Job Description
We are looking for recent graduates in Geosciences, Physics, Mathematics or Engineering interested in joining GEMS – Eni’s corporate Master’s program in Geoscience for Energy.
With GEMS, we aim to specialize in highly qualified young professionals by providing them with an integrated vision of the geoscience world and the exploration cycle. The program offers knowledge and skills ranging from traditional areas of the energy industry to new scenarios in technological and digital innovation, with a strong focus on soft skills (project management, team working, communication skills, etc.). The training program is designed to prepare young professionals with skills in Geosciences, providing comprehensive coverage of modeling, data analysis, and data interpretation, enabling them to actively contribute to the energy transition within the industrial sector.
The GEMS Master’s program lasts 9 months and will be delivered entirely in English at the company facilities, at the Eni Corporate University headquarters in San Donato Milanese (MI).
The Master will start with a period of skills alignment (optional) aimed at balancing the different backgrounds of the participants and will include a program of classroom lectures, studies and experiences applied to real cases, geological and geophysical field activities and elaboration of a final exploration project.
There is no enrollment fee, and throughout the entire program participants will receive a monthly scholarship of €1,500 gross, funded by Eni.
The application deadline is 25 August 2026 for candidates with an Italian degree and 10 August 2026 for candidates with an international degree.
The Master is open to candidates who meet the following requirements:
- A Master’s degree in one of the following fields, or an equivalent foreign qualification, obtained no later than October 30th, 2026: Physics (LM-17), Aerospace Engineering (LM-20), Telecommunication Engineering (LM-27), Energy Engineering (LM-30), Computer Engineering (LM-32), Mechanical Engineering (LM-33), Environmental Engineering (LM-35), Civil Engineering (LM-23), Mathematics (LM-40), Mathematical-Physical Modeling for Engineering (LM-44), Geological Sciences and Technologies (LM-74), Sciences and Technologies for the Environment and Territory (LM-75), Geophysical Sciences (LM-79)
- A Master’s degree final grade of at least 100/110 or equivalent for foreign qualifications. Candidates graduating between the call deadline (10 or 25 August 2026) and October 30th, 2026 must have a weighted average of exams of at least 27/30 or equivalent
- Be under 29 years old as of 31 December 2026
- Excellent knowledge of English
- Italian or EU citizenship, or a valid residence permit covering the entire duration of the Master.
Classes will be held in English starting 2 November 2026.
