Initiates referrals for children and their parents to community agencies and professionals as needed.Essential FunctionsPerforms developmental screenings to children ages 2.5-5.11 years.Trains new personnel regarding Child Find procedures, protocols, and materials.Assists in the coordination of the Child Find referral and screening process.Assist families in accurately completing necessary paperwork required by agencies.Effectively works with community agencies to provide services/programs to meet needs of children inside/outside of the school environment.Coordinates with school personnel in identifying and meeting social, emotional, and physical needs of children.Compiles data and prepares various reports and records required by the school, district, and/or other agencies.Maintains confidentiality when working with families and other personnel.Provides necessary follow-up with families.Additional DutiesPerforms other related tasks as assigned by the Director of School Readiness, Chief Instructional Services Officer, Superintendent or other district office administrator as designated by the Superintendent.QualificationsMust hold or be eligible to hold a valid South Carolina teaching certificate.
