Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Core Team Engineer to join our EHE – HWE function. In this role, you will lead the design, development, and validation of Access Sub‑System components (Passive Entry/Passive Start systems), ensuring delivery in line with quality, performance, timing, and cost objectives. You will ensure compliance with technical requirements and actively support the global function in all transversal activities related to the Access Sub‑System.ResponsibilitiesLead the definition and maintenance of technical specifications for the Access Sub‑System components (HW, SW, Mech) and ensure the development of the relevant technical documentation, including the source packageSupervise and directly support the development activitiesSupervise and directly support the Access sub‑system validation activitiesReport development & validation status to management and define and implement recovery plans if neededTake care of technical/technological innovation within your area of responsibility to meet functional objectivesDevelop technical standards, design methods/calculations, and the necessary documentation in your area of expertise, representing the company's reference in your disciplinePerform benchmarking, competitive analysis, technology scouting, and supplier know‑how assessment through technical investigationsEnsure the economic evaluation of costs and investments at component/system level, cost variation assessment, and control of buy investments during the entire product life cycleTake an active part in content/archetype definition and optimization of the component/system, and meet VOC (Voice of Customer) objectives in technical specifications,



overseeing the adequacy of vehicle content/performanceWork with Purchasing to develop a strategic sourcing strategy with proven suppliers who meet validation/design requirementsBe accountable for the design and performance review within your own regionLead and execute the technical evaluation of components during the RFQ phaseLead the technology roadmapPerform quality assessment reviews to ensure variation/failure modes are addressed in the global BOM strategyGuarantee conformity to internal control system rules within your responsibilitiesSupport product diversity definition per KPI requirements together with the Vehicle Program team and supply baseOwn DFMEA, lessons learned, best practices, and other core documentation for access componentsPerform issue troubleshooting and resolution, both during the development phase and the maintenance phaseSupport and actively propose cost reduction ideasRequirementsMaster's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Software Engineering, Automation Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Physics, or an equivalent scientific disciplineMinimum of 5‑8 years of experience in the same role at another automotive OEM, or as a Validation Engineer for Passive Entry/Passive Start systems at an OEM or OEM supplierStrong knowledge of automotive E/E architecturesAbility to define test cases and test plans from requirementsExperience in ECU and system validation (HiL, bench,



vehicle)Proficiency with CANoe/CANalyzer in a validation environmentHands‑on experience with lab/validation instrumentsKnowledge of diagnostics (UDS, DTC analysis, CAN communication debugging)Ability to perform integration and validation of supplier componentsExperience in issue analysis, debugging, and root cause identificationFamiliarity with test automation and scripting (Python, CAPL, etc.)Basic automotive technical knowledge (environmental, electrical, EMC, good engineering rules, design and packaging FMEA, drawing verification, reliability)Basic engineering knowledge of mechanical components and plastic materials (tolerances, processes, moulds, tooling, etc.)Knowledge of major automotive suppliers' portfolios and benchmarkingVery good knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPointLanguage skills: Italian and English (min.
