**The public**: - U.S. Citizens, Nationals or those who owe allegiance to the U.S. **Duties**: - Plans, organizes, and implements medical standards activities for the Chief Flight Surgeon and Chief Medical Staff.
- Provides consultative services to the Medical Treatment Facility on medical standards issues, medical standards training, deployment processing, and other Aerospace Medicine Standards related topics, as required.
- Performs administrative quality reviews of Duty Limiting Conditions (DLC), physical examinations, profiles, and appropriate clearances before these documents are forwarded/leave the Medical Treatment Facility.
- Represents medical standards element with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.
- Manage deployment health waivers and clearance for deployers. **Requirements**:

**Who May Apply: US Citizens** **Specialized Experience**:One year of specialized experience which includes the use of databases to pull standardized reports, analyze basic data, and provide information to internal stakeholders; and/or performing clerical, office automation support, and administrative duties to ensure operations run efficiently. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR **Education**:Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree with a major study in hospital administration, public health administration, or related fields such as business or public administration with course work in health care administration. OR **Combination of Education and Experience**:A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. **Education**:

- Employees (and family members) who require medical or dental care in the overseas location will be responsible for obtaining and paying for such care. Access for civilian employees and their families to military medical and dental treatment facilities is on a space-available and reimbursable basis only.
- Pay retention may be offered to selected applicants for positions at overseas locations. Pay retention will not be offered as an incentive for employees moving between overseas positions.
