- Overall responsibility for managing Projects in Southern Europe region (> 6M$) from opportunity development stage to delivering the project successfully to customer.
- Ensures on time delivery of projects, within scope with zero or positive deviation.
- Establish professional relationships and communications with key customers to ensure potential customer satisfaction issues are recognized and addressed in a timely manner.
- Ensure that the baseline project documents including the contract, planning, cost estimate, project execution plan (including human resource plan and working schedule), project organization description, communications protocols, QA practices etc. are produced, maintained, followed and made available to all concerned.
- Establish and execute detailed plans to ensure that risks are mitigated, and opportunities are realized that may impact the objectives of assigned projects and/or organization
- Ownership for Projects financial performance. Monitors financial performance monthly and reviews estimates versus actuals to continuously improve Projects operational metrics. (EAC, Billings, cost budgets, milestone payments, rebates, warranty)
- Accurately report the status (resources, technical issues, customer satisfaction)
of assigned projects on all key metrics
- Responsible for estimating and negotiations of contract / scope variations (including change orders).
- Effectively leads the implementation of productivity enhancing process changes related to project delivery.
- Responsible for driving costs down to be competitive in the marketplace.
- Ensures the availability of tools, equipment, and materials required while maintaining and controlling inventory levels. Ensures projects are resourced properly.
- Participate in estimate review process prior to jobs being quoted to ensure labor estimates are correct and that the work is achievable from a technical perspective. Ensure that subcontracts, where applicable, are complete and documented.
- Participate in material SIOP call with factory planners to provide forecast for Backlog and Front log project order demand to factory
- Work closely with LSS (Lifecycle Solutions & Services) organizations to ensure that projects are properly closed out and that maintenance and support opportunities are maximized
- Participate jointly with the P&E; (Proposal and Estimate) team to develop and have high level >75% of winning of new opportunities, identifying the correct cost and execution model.
- BS degree or equivalent technical experience, minimum 5 years of relevant experience required.
- Thorough knowledge of handling Projects Operations and financial processes.
- The ability to demonstrate energy and determination to achieve results and improvement by overcoming obstacles, remaining effective despite setbacks, and challenging current thinking.
- The ability to engage employees by providing relevant information in timely manner using clear and compelling messages and by listening to and valuing input from employees.
- The ability to understand the implications and assess the appropriate degree of acceptable risk and take actions to minimize risk.
- Open mindset and attitude to changes
- PMI certification preferred
- Project Management Tools: Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, CORA, Sales Force, etc) and methodologies (Agile, Lean).
- Excellent Communication: Superior verbal and written communication skills for interfacing with various stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent in MS Office mainly access, Project.
- Language: Italian, English (able to negotiate). Spanish and/or French is a plus. WE OFFER: - A challenging international work environment.
