Description
The Customer Technical Support (CTS) position is part of CMO Automotive, Packaging & Electrical Steels.

The CTS, together with the Account Manager, forms the core of the customer team in direct contact with our customers, following the philosophy of "one face to the customer".
As a CTS, you will be the first point of contact for customers on all technical and quality-related topics. You will act as a bridge between customers and ArcelorMittal entities, including our mills, CTO and R&D; teams.
Your mission will be to create value for both our customers and ArcelorMittal by supporting business development, promoting innovative solutions, optimizing costs, managing claims and contributing to the growth of our automotive business.
You will develop strong relationships with customers to gain a deep understanding of their manufacturing processes, products, technical requirements and future needs.
Main Responsibilities Customer Relationship & Business Development
- Maintain regular contacts with automotive customers and develop trusted partnerships.
- Act as the primary technical interface between customers and ArcelorMittal.
- Support the development of additional business opportunities through technical discussions, product developments and customer trials.
- Promote ArcelorMittal's high added-value (HAV) products and sustainable solutions.
- Identify future customer needs and contribute to long-term customer development plans.
- Contribute to the definition and execution of customer strategies together with the Account Manager and customer team.
- Support competitive intelligence activities and provide technical input for value creation and pricing discussions.
Technical Support
- Provide technical expertise on ArcelorMittal products, applications and processes.
- Manage the technical aspects of customer orders and specifications.
- Answer customer questions regarding product feasibility, performance, tolerances, standards and guarantees.
- Support customers in solving technical and technological issues related to steel products.
- Coordinate technical activities between customers and internal stakeholders, including mills, R&D; and CTO.
- Present and promote ArcelorMittal's product portfolio to customers.
- Organize technical training sessions for customer quality, engineering, R&D; and purchasing teams.
Product Development & Trials
- Support the development and approval of new products.
- Coordinate and follow up customer trials and industrial validations.
- Advise customers on product and process improvement opportunities.
- Support innovation projects and ensure successful implementation of new solutions.
Quality & Claim Management
- Manage customer claims from problem identification to implementation of corrective actions.
- Lead root cause investigations with customers and producing plants.
- Ensure efficient communication between customers and internal stakeholders.
- Participate in customer audits, quality reviews and action plans.
- Support cost optimization through effective claim management and continuous improvement initiatives.
Profile & Requirements Education & Experience
- Master's degree in Engineering, Metallurgy, Materials Science or a related technical field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in production, quality, R&D;, process engineering or a similar technical environment.
- Knowledge of metallurgical processes, industry standards and flat carbon steel products.
- Experience in the automotive industry is considered a strong advantage.
Languages
- Native or fluent Italian is required.
- Very good command of English is required.
- Additional European languages are considered an asset.
