About the role
We are looking for a Raw Material Specialist to join our Research & Development team in Milan. The role is focused on the development and industrialization of innovative materials and compounds for truck tyre applications , working at the intersection of material innovation, industrial processes, supplier management and cross?functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities
Act as a technical interface with raw material suppliers , supporting material selection, validation, supplier development and innovation activities.
Work closely with Procurement, Quality, Industrialization, Product Development, Testing and Manufacturing teams , supporting material?related decision making and ensuring alignment across technical, quality and business requirements.
Perform chemical and physical characterization of raw materials and compounds, using advanced laboratory methodologies and technologies.
Develop compounds for truck tyre applications , managing the process from laboratory development through industrialization.
Support raw material scouting activities , evaluating new materials and technologies to enhance compound performance,



sustainability and industrial robustness.
Carry out reverse engineering activities , analyzing competitor products to assess strengths, weaknesses and market positioning.
Read, interpret and contribute to technical patents related to innovative materials for tyre applications.
Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation within the Materials R&D; area.
Requirements
Master's Degree in Chemistry or a PhD in a related field.
Experience in the chemical, polymer or materials industry .
Strong knowledge of materials, polymers, compounding and characterization techniques .
Experience in supplier management and raw material scouting , supporting the evaluation and introduction of new materials and technologies.
Strong cross?functional collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively engage with Procurement, Quality, Manufacturing and Product Development teams.
Ability to contribute to material strategy through a broad understanding of technical, industrial and supply chain requirements.
Good command of the MS Office suite .
Fluency in Italian and English .
Knowledge of Chinese is considered a plus.
Pragmatic and flexible, comfortable working across HQ and industrial plant environments .
Highly motivated, proactive and able to work independently.
