For an
international industrial company operating in the automation and sensing technology sector
, we are looking for a
Senior Buyer - Mechanical
who will be responsible for the strategic management of procurement activities related to
metals, plastics and CAPEX
, contributing to cost optimization, supplier base rationalization and the development of an integrated sourcing strategy.
The successful candidate will work closely with key business functions, including
Operations, R&D;, Finance and Quality
, coordinating purchasing activities and contributing to the development of a structured, efficient and results-oriented procurement model.
Key Responsibilities
Define and implement the
sourcing strategy
for the assigned categories, particularly metals, plastics and CAPEX investments.
Strategically manage and develop the
supplier base
, including supplier scouting, qualification, evaluation and rationalization.
Lead structured
RFQ (Request for Quotation)
processes and negotiate commercial and contractual terms.
Conduct
Make or Buy
analyses to optimize the utilization of internal production capacities, including machining and injection moulding departments.
Identify and implement
saving and cost reduction initiatives
, while ensuring quality, reliability and supply chain continuity.
Centralize and harmonize purchasing categories shared across different plants and Group companies.




Collaborate with international subsidiaries to ensure alignment with
Group guidelines and procurement policies
.
Define and monitor
procurement KPIs
and prepare regular performance reports for the assigned categories.
Work cross-functionally with
Operations, R&D;, Finance and Quality
to ensure alignment between production, technical and financial requirements.
Contribute to the development of procurement policies focused on
sustainability and ESG criteria
.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or diploma in
Economics, Engineering or a technical field
.
Proven experience as a
Senior Buyer
, preferably within industrial and manufacturing environments.
Strong experience in managing
mechanical and/or industrial procurement categories
, particularly metals, plastics and CAPEX.
Advanced skills in
strategic sourcing, negotiation and supplier management
.
Knowledge of
Make or Buy
processes and cost analysis principles.
Strong analytical skills and experience in monitoring
procurement KPIs
.
Good command of
English
, essential for working in an international environment.
Excellent negotiation, analytical and organizational skills.
A pragmatic, results-oriented approach and the ability to work cross-functionally with stakeholders from different business areas.
