Responsibilities
Plan, monitor and coordinate engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle from bid phase to final delivery, including product design, verification and validation.
Coordinate project teams across engineering disciplines to ensure compliance with input requirements, regulations and standards, and with budget, schedule and quality targets.
Prepare project documentation during bid and execution phases, including technical proposals, engineering plans, and design review reports.
During bid phase, prepare and maintain the Product Data Sheet (PDS) to support cost consolidation for the Bid Manager.
Ensure submission of System Requirements Specifications (SyRS) for supplier engagement.
Support requirements management throughout the project lifecycle by maintaining the Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) with verification and validation evidence.
Act as primary technical interface with the customer, ensuring collection and delivery of project documentation.
Manage and conduct design reviews (internal and with customers) under supervision of the line manager.
Monitor and report project progress, technical risks and opportunities; escalate when necessary.
Manage project KPIs and open items using defined templates/dashboards.
Collaborate with Project Management, Procurement, Manufacturing, Industrialization, Quality, Certification & Safety to ensure successful delivery.
Assess the technical impact of customer changes/Change Orders and support the change process.
Manage non-conformances in line with internal processes and procedures.
Ensure submission of relevant manuals,



documentation and training to the customer.
With the Certification Manager and Project Validation Manager, define the certification and validation strategy of the project.
Coordinate testing activities with relevant departments to ensure proper verification and validation.
Support homologation by coordinating documentation required for vehicle approval.
Ensure engineering changes, project requirements and project configuration are properly managed throughout the lifecycle in compliance with company processes.
Required Skills / Knowledge
Experience (3–5 years) in the railway sector or in complex industrial environments.
Good knowledge of main railway regulations and standards.
Good knowledge of IBM DOORS requirements management tool.
Good knowledge of engineering processes and railway operations.
Good knowledge of system engineering and requirements management disciplines.
Good knowledge of RAMS principles and processes.
Good knowledge of design verification and validation methodologies.
Good knowledge of main vehicle architectures and functions.
Good knowledge of electrical, electronic and mechanical engineering disciplines.
Proficiency with office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).




Ability to coordinate multiple functional teams across different engineering disciplines in complex project lifecycles.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced, international and multicultural environment.
Strong organizational, teamwork, problem-solving and results-driven mindset.
Ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders (suppliers, partners, customers).
Ability to work within project teams with minimal supervision.
Willingness to travel nationally and internationally on short-term assignments.
Desired Skills / Knowledge
Knowledge of electrical/mechanical design software (AutoCAD, Creo, Catia, etc.).
Fast learner with a strong willingness to stay up to date with technological developments.
Good business acumen combined with solid technical skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Education / Qualifications
Master's Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical or equivalent preferred).
Languages
Knowledge of written and spoken English (at least B2 level).
All employment terms are in accordance with the applicable Italian collective bargaining agreement for the metalworking industry and plant installation sector, with level B2 classification where applicable.
Salary: gross annual compensation between 36,000 € and 46,000 €.
